2009 Grammy Awards Look
If there was a "Best Makeup Award" presented at the 2009 Grammy Awards it would have to go to Taylor Swift!!! She has a great face for makeup, so it would be hard to go wrong with her classic Charlize Theron features.
Here is how to get her look using some of Christopher Drummond Beauty products:
1) As always, start with a fresh, clean face that is perfectly moisturized and hydrated.
2) Take the all natural concealer and focus on areas that need it only: red areas, blemishes, dark circles. If needed, add a little water to the concealer to allow it to go on lighter.
3) Set the concealer with an appropriately colored "Finale Finishing Powder". This will keep the concealer in place all evening long.
4) Add a few layers of Veludo Velvet Foundation. This should be dusted all over the face in 2-3 layers. Aplpying the foundation in layers will assure long-lasting performance with little to no touch-ups. Dip the brush in the powder, and dust it over the entire face.
Focus on "troubled" areas. Bring the powder down to the neck, and also to the chest area, to ensure an even skin tone. You do not want to have "white face", so be sure to evenly cover all areas. The camera sees everything!
5) Finish with Finale Finishing Powder. This will absorb oil and give your skin a matte finish.
6) Add a nice orange/pink blush. "Nars Orgasm Blush" is perfect.
7) EYES:This is pretty simple. Take a neutral beige color over the whole eyelid. Then take a low shimmer gold/white all over the lid on top of the beige color. Next, take a dark shade in the crease of the eye. Blend well.
Take a pencil liner and fill in the base of the lashes from inner to outer corners.
Follow the pencil with a liquid liner. You should go from the inner corner with a thin line and drag it past the outer corner of the eye, in a thicker line, finishing with a point.
8) LASHES: Apply individual lashes from the middle to the end of the outer corner of the eye. The closer to the outer eye you get, the longer the lashes. This creates a natural-looking "cat eye" and it will look like your own natural lashes. I also use clear lash glue which stays on for days and days....
